❔ Frequently Asked Questions
◾ Is OSHEN an Non-governmental Organisation (NGO)?
Yes, we are.
◾ Is OSHEN an officially registered association?
Not at the moment. We may consider doing so in the future depending on the growth and scale of the OSHEN community. Doing so would require drafting a constitution and attaining endorsement from relevant authorities.
◾ Are there any fees incurred upfront for signing up for membership?
Signing up for membership is currently free. See Member Resources section for additional information.
◾ Is usage/partaking of tool kits, events, mentorship, and chat group free-of-charge once signed up as member?
Every member resources shall remain free to access for now. Exception is for events where admission fees may be charged to fund for organising costs, unless the event is merely a social gathering or utilises venues which incurs rental charges from venue-provider.
◾ What are the requirements for signing up as a member?
Basic personal details including photo identification, full name, contact number, date of birth, gender, copy of valid IC or passport, work designation, name of workplace is required to be submitted through the online form.
◾ Is membership for locals only or foreign nationality as well?
Both local and foreign nationalities are accepted (pending identity verification during approval process).
◾ Is membership signup by those working in government accepted?
Yes (pending identity verification during approval process).
◾ Are WSH training providers or consultant allowed to be a member?
Yes, but joining purely for unsolicited advertising and unsolicited promotion of commercial services on any of the avenues of the network shall lead to a termination of membership. Please reach out any of the executive committee members first to discuss for a more mutually beneficial arrangement to be approached.
◾ Is there an expiry to the membership?
For now, renewal will be every 12 months period cycle (from date of approved membership), to re-verify identity of existing members, in case of contact number change or person having passed away.
◾ Does OSHEN have a social media presence I could follow?
We will aim to establish presence on LinkedIn first, and then perhaps on instagram.
